I don't think that was a factory stripe as I have not seen that before.
Is that off your truck or one you bought for it? If off your truck what year is it?
Where there stripes on any other part of the truck? If so can you post up a picture of them.
Now on toy something you may not want to hear. If it is a factory stripe and you do find one in the right or wrong color you may not / should not use it.
The NOS stripes go bad from sitting. The glue stops gluing and / or the backing paper will not come off as it should.
If you do find a set you might be able to use it as a pattern to have a sign shop make new ones.
If you cant come by NOS before you remove them take the gate to a sign shop to see if they can make them and a pattern from them.

It was just a tailgate I passed by in a junkyard. The design caught my eye. I think I'm just going to paint it on. If/when I get around to it I'll try to post pictures.
Does anyone know what year and trim this tailgate is? I'm trying to find new decals.
I recall seeing this trim package back in the day. IIRC it was similar to the Freewheeling decal package used in the late 70's but in blue. I believe it was 80 or 81 when this was used. It may require some serious research to track down photographs of it...... Ford had lots of decal packages in the late 70's early 80's for the trucks...

This stripe has 4 different shades of blue. I found stripes with 3 and 5 different shades of blue, but not 4.

Ford may have taken some liberty with the tail gate just due to space considerations maybe???. Thanks for confirming Ford offered some sort of blue stripe package. I knew I was not losing it even the memories are near 40 years old and a little foggy.

Was there a name Ford used on this 3 & 5 stripe kit like the "Freedom package" and is there a parts book picture of it?
Was it just on the tail gate or the sides also?
Did it only come in blue or was there other colors?
Thanks

For what I recall it was full decal package like the freewheeling package. So sides as well. Maybe ND has pictures in the parts catalogue of the applique.
Ford has so many graphic's package across the model lines in the late 70's and 80's it is mind boggling.
