I am looking for the oil pressure switch that shuts off the fuel system in the event of low oil pressure. I have climbed all over the engine and cant find it.
Could it be under the manifold? It is fuel injected.
the oil pressure switch i behind the power steering pump on the block. right above the oil filter
but i don't think it has a safety cut off switch. my 90 model 5.0 fuel injected truck's oil pressure would fall to L after a long time of hotrodding, i guess the lifter valley needed to be cleaned out so that the oil could return to the crankcase, but it never cut off when it fell below low.
Try the bump switch on some modles it's under the dash on the drivers side above the pedals on others it is inside the kick panel on the drivers side. It is used to shut off the electric fuel pump in the event of a collision. Sometimes a inocent bump will do it the ones i've seen have a red button you push to reset.
