Oil pressure switch

How do you get to the oil pressure switch on a 1998 F150 4x4? I can see it over the top of the front axle but can't find any way to get my hand in to unplug the sensor wire. Do you have to unbolt and drop the axle down a couple of inches?

They are a little hard to get at
Changed mine,2002 5.4 4x4 without taking anything else off.
Will removing the oil filter give you some more room?

My oil filter is remote mounted behind the front bumper. Is not in the way, actually is not even close.
