While searching for accessories for my soon to be built truck, I came across Tasca and LiverMore Ford. Surprisingly Livermore is a little less expensive and has free shipping, so they are cheaper then Tasca. Anyone used them? Are they good to buy from?
My only experience with Tasca involved very slow shipping with no tracking or updates. It was either via eBay or Amazon, I don't recall which. When I told Tasca that I was about to open a case because I had not received a product, tracking information or responses to email inquiries I suddenly got some results. Even then they never answered me directly, just sent me an automated notice that the product had shipped. I decided not to do business with them again.
Fairway Ford out of Ohio has been great. I've purchased directly from them and via eBay with good results. When I installed an OEM remote/cell phone start they did the activation for me over the phone even though I hadn't purchased the parts from them. That led me to buy stuff from them even if it was a few bucks more than some other places.
Auto Nation Ford in White Bear Lake MN always seems to have a large stock of parts at reasonable prices.
RealTruck was always good until I recently needed a replacement tail rail for a tonneau cover purchased from them. RealTruck and Gator are the same company, with Gator making covers. They bounced me back and forth between the 2 companies for a month before I finally got a part number and someone to send me a lousy $32 part. Then they tried to discourage it by telling me it was a difficult install. It was not.
I had the same shipping problem with Tasca, many emails unanswered until I filled out a bad customer satisfaction survey, then I heard from them right away, never did get my parts, they say they sent them twice and both times returned to them, they sent me a shirt....the shirt made it all the way with the correct address and everything- no idea what the problem really was but its easier to buy parts from Fairway.
