Ok bare with me here...lol! Im looking to by a 2019 or 2020 F350 SRW Lariat. I am using it to pull my 36 foot travel trailer that has over a 1000lb tongue weight and the camper is around 10k lbs. My question is about the snow plow prep package. I know it makes the truck sit more level which I like the look of but will the truck squat or look nose high when I hook up my camper? Or should I skip it and get a truck without it? Thanks!
2018 F350 in my signature, 24 foot enclosed with equil-i-zer hitch. I have the plow prep but not the camper package.
With the 18 inch all terrain goodyears, it rides and tows like a dream. When I switched the hitch over from my 06 F250,
I had to invert the drawbar since the new F350 is about 3 inches higher in the tail than the F250 was. With the trailer
and my 11 Mustang inside, it's roughly 8500 pounds. With the weight bars on, it dropped the *** end about an inch.
Towed it from NJ to NC and back, hardly knew it was back there....
From my reading diesel and gas respond to the stiffer springs differently.
Running heavy service springs on my truck and i measured it 1/2 inch higher than a stock truck at the dealer with same engine and tires.
Rides just fine and that is truely tall enough and fits my 295/65/20 great. But the diesel in my truck supposedly is smoother than a gasser because of the weight...
I’d also consider the 1 inch BDS lift and stock springs. Probably the best way to go on a gasser.
