Backing plate Q
Hey everyone , I've had an issue with what I thought was my rear diff for a year or so now. I actually stopped driving the truck last summer because of it.
it was making some wild clunking and banging around. If I had the trailer on and loaded with any amount of weight when taking off on a hill while turning right it would make the rear view shake like I had subs in the cab.
well I was going through the truck today for a pre annual safety inspection and I found this ( see pic) 2 of the 24mm backing plate nuts had somehow backed off could all my issues be the e brake jamming up slightly?
I ran out of time and didn't get that right rear rotor pulled off. Also no test run since I tightened the nuts up.
