Added 1/2" to the 3/4" x 48 x 96 plate I used in my f350 tow boss. With the 1"x 48 x 16" header to keep the plate from cutting ppl in half if rear ended, 1,850lbs. Canopy is around 300lbs. Fender height front and rear on my
450 are identical. Rides nice and smooth! Still no sidewall pooch on the rears at 65psi though. Front is good at 85psi.
Yea, but its not like you are going to get a crowbar under a 2000# plate very easily to facilitate getting the forklift blades under. Should have welded on a couple of lifting points while you were at it. All I can saw is WOW.
Easy to lift with crow bar no problem, get the forks under, hook the chain, drag back until it hangs off the tailgate 6-8", fork in all the way, chain up, store it for the next season
No worries Dave! And having heavy equipment is good. The down side is you want them all and keep building shops to store everything. Lol. I have 4,600sq ft in the house and 15,000 in shops at home. Lol.
