now how the hell do you know that? Lol. One other thing don’t I need the ca1359 or does the CT-215-A work to? To many part numbers lol. What’s the difference in those two kits also? I found the CT-215-A for $25 online.

The reason I know that Soeby has obsolete parts is because I have access to the Ford dealer parts locator system that the general public cannot access.
I've listed obsolete parts that they have...many times here on FTE.
Another ND dealer that has obsolete parts is Bowman Sales & Service in Bowman ND .. Bowman is listed on the dealer locator and PartsVoice.com that anyone can access.
I've been to MT, SD and MN, but not to ND .. Custer was safe until he rode into M.T.

NOS parts are usually what we want, though some parts in a carburetor are made of soft rubber, like the power valve diaphragm and the accelerator pump check valve. Carburetor kits have gotten a little more spendy, but I would not try to find the cheapest, nor would I buy NOS. At least, be prepared to throw some parts out. Kind of depends on storage conditions maybe. The gaskets and metal parts would be OK.
"I Like Mike" - at his website there are good quality carburetor parts and rebuild kits, because that's what he does for a living. He also has a page at his site with the original carburetor manuals available for free download in .pdf and, he also has videos there and on YT that will walk you through the rebuild process of disassembly and some things to look for. He will also answer email or questions at his site. There are plenty of other websites and firms that offer carburetor parts, you can order from whoever you want and I'm sure they will give good service too.
Might not set any world speed records but with a little homework I am certain most people can do an excellent, competent carburetor rebuild their very first time. Just as important is getting them setup right at installation, the linkages, float settings, choke, idle mixture etc. Keep in mind Floats and Jets are not included in rebuild kits. Might want to disassemble and clean everything up and see what you have before ordering. After all this time who knows what jet size are installed. Since I bet it's still CAF in North Dakota right now, download the manual for your carb, throw a chunk of stovewood on the fire, and read up on 'em.
