I have some strange area’s of rot at the bottom of my dash in the 48 F1. As it on the formed area’s it would be difficult to patch. I guess the screen was leaking or window left open for a long period.
does anyone have any experience of cutting in another dash panel or maybe an alternative that’s fit relatively well?
On one cab I had the bottom of glove box rotted out but it look like someone left some old flashlight battery's in it. Found an old cab that was useless and but out the part that I needed and it worked great.
Good Luck
Unless you are doing a original restoration i dont see anything that would stop you from a nice dash extension curved piece added for a good looking
curved bottom.
If you were near by, or even in this country, I looked at your profile, I'd send you a dash board for the cost of shipping. I have a few of them laying around.
Hey Andy,
The '51 dash should work fine. You can make it look original or go with new gauges for a restomod look.
Post a pic of your whole truck so we can see the big picture of what you are working with. We have several
British members if you want to let folks know where you are in Britain... might be someone close by who could
help with parts or advice.

Hi Ben
Here’s my truck, recently imported from Oregon. Typical farm truck on patch’s of rot but in good shape for 70 years old.
The plan is to fit the coyote below. Jag front, mustang 8.8 rear, air ride with 20’s and shine up the patina.
want her to be practical and fun.
im in Bedfordshire in the UK met a few US car people, no fellow F1 drivers/builders yet.
This is where I’m upto, test position. Going to start measuring up
