I was at the dealer last week here in California and he mentioned that I had a 49 stater v 50 state. I've heard that the difference is in the injectors (split shot for California)? I bought my truck in CO in 1996. Any thoguhts?

Correct, Cali trucks had AB code split shots (120cc) and the rest had AA single shots (90cc). If you have a black disk on your fuel pump then you have a Cali model. The disk is a fuel damper
