I've got this broken spring hanging from my steering box and I'm having trouble finding one as to not being able to find the name of it. What is the spring called and what does it do? I assume it hooks to that hole on the bracket behind the box, right?

There is no spring associated with the steering gear box. This broken spring is probably for the clutch linkage.
Pic: One end of the 7523 clutch fork retracting spring attaches to the clutch fork (7515), the other end hooks into a hole on the frame rail in front of the 7507 pivot.
Some have a bracket in this location that the spring hooks to.
But without a bracket, some people are unaware of the hole in the frame rail, so they hook the spring to whatever is handy.
