bigwin56 - Yeah I just bought it for the whole rear end. Yeah I'm aware that I might have to carry two spares.

Can you guys tell me what rear end this is that is on the '67 F350 I just picked up. Is it the Dana 60? - How would I tell what the gear ratio is in it?

Ok I did a VIN tag look up on the '67 and got this information. I'm learning so much information.
Axle: Dana 70 4.10 (7.4M)
Engine: 352 cid, 8-cyl
Trans: 4-speed New Process (NP-435)

Unless you are heavily loaded, ;you only need one spare to fit the front. The rear will do quite nicely with only one wheel on the ground on a given side. This means you are carrying two spares for the rear.

The 4.10/1 will be a good all round gear ratio. You can besides the truck’s data plate look the axle up based on its Dana Bill of Materials (BOM) code to tell if it’s an open differential or a Powr-Lok. The BOM is I believe stamped on the right side axle tube.

Also, I think you’ll find that the front wheels are not original to the truck. They have a shallow SRW offset and sit too far out into the wheel wells. Stu

Frame washed

drug out the pressure washer and degreased the frame and engine this weekend.

question. I talked with a local engine machine shop, for about 1,700 - $2,000 not including parts they will completely go through the 239 and put new rings, valves gaskets and rebuild the carb. I think the rebuild kit is about $1200. Is this a good investment? I’ve never tore an engine apart before. He also said he could do whatever I couldn’t or didn’t feel comfortable doing myself.

Ok guys I’m back at it. I have a newer Ford dually rear axle with disk brakes on it. It has 8 Lugs at 8x200mm. Take a look at these photos of the front what are my options of going to a disk brake setup and get to a matching lug as the newer rear bolt pattern?
