Hope you all have a good Saturday! Breaking into the front end on my 79 this weekend. New bearings, seals, u-joints, ball joints, tie rod ends, drag link and whatever else I find.
New ball joints and axle u joint in on the driver side. Tie rod assembled and drag link off and ready for reinstall. Lots of clean up and touch up painting done as well. Great start. Will take another day or so of it. Can’t wait to get it all back together.
Looks nice and sanitary under there, which is a godsend when doing work like that.
True! In my case, a front end rebuild would mean 2 days worth of pressure washing dirt, mud, rust grease, salt and snow, followed by 2 weeks of soaking everything in PB blast and buying grinding discs and cut off wheels anyway..
That is a beautiful truck BTW, I love the color and how straight and detailed it is

Thank you. I don’t drive it unless it’s nice outside. I catch hell for that, but it’s mine and I built it so I can drive it when I want lol. I appreciate your comments it’s definitely going in the direction I want.
Driver side detailed and reassembled. Decided to go ahead and black out my rotors as well. Already had installed new hubs so just need to get my brakes back on and then reinstall the hub cover.
