A couple of weeks ago I saw a vendor (sponsor I think) that had all the front end parts- ball joints, tie rod ends, etc. in a prepackaged kit for sale. I can't for the life of me find it now.
Anybody know who and where I'm talking about? I've got an upper ball joint that is about to take a dump and I'd like to do the whole front if I can avoid piecemealing it all together.
We've been a Ford Truck dealer for nearly 40 years. We are a truck only dealer. We deal in light and medium duty Ford trucks and now deal in Sterling and Western Star heavy trucks.
Thanks, we tend to stick closely to the OEM side as warranty issues can be handled at any Ford Dealership. Other items are case by case. Anything you have in mind, let me know.
Cookie,
I just did my joints with that kit and there's one thing i want to mention.
Make sure u have spare 90degree grease fittings because the fittings in the kit
will NOT clear the U joints. I used the straight fittings on the bottom joints and
a lower profile 90 degree fitting on the tops. I also managed to break one fitting
by overtighening it and had to replace the entire ball joint.

PSNut, In the last three weeks I've had a few preople bring this to my attention. So what your saying is that the 90 degree fitting you're getting needs to be a lower profile? Seldom have I not been able to make things right with a customer if they bring it to my attention.

Yes that's correct. I mentioned it in another thread where u folks were posting too. I had spare 90 degree fittings to hand. I forgot to send an e-mail direct. Lower profile fits good.

Thanks for the heads up. I will remember that.
POWERSTOKESHOP. Does one need to wait until this weekend to order to get free freight, or hows that going to work? Or was this weekend the one that is ending a few hours from now and I missed it?

Ending here in a few hours. I will honor orders until 4:00 am eastern time for our West coast customers. Sorry for the late notice. Call me in the morning if you need to.
Thanks, Bob

In addressing PSNuts comments concerning to the upper Moog ball joints, I have checked out Moogs site and contacted a representative. I'm guilty of not reading the instructions and after I did, realized the solution is to use the grease fitting during servicing only and replace the plug while in operation. Moog managed to work around this on some applications, however not on the Super Duties. I'm told there is also a straight fitting that can be used but requires a special adapter on the grease gun? Sorry it took so long to get to this point but I hope this helps in the future.
Thanks, Bob
