For starters, hi everyone, this isn't my first account here but cant recover the other one so 🤷🏾*♂️. Got my second excursion today. Was driving and already noticed the steering wheel was off centered when I was driving but didnt move around, didnt bother me. Got back in about an hour later for another drive and made a big uturn, steering wheel didnt turn the wheels but wheel would just turn almost freely and some piece of metal, almost wire like, can be from between the wheel and column. It works and turns fine when I apply a forward pressure to the wheel, like I'm pressing into it and turn, but if I'm just free handing like normal itll just wrap around. I know the clock spring is gone because no horn or cruise control. Any idea on what else to replace and how to fix it? TIA
Spooooky. Did your steering wheel nut come off? Pop the airbag off and see what's up back there. Its not hard, but make sure to disconnect the batteries for half an hour before fiddling with aribags.

I'll get out and do it in a few and report back, thanks. Is that nut something I can buy a parts store in case it is stripped?
I'm thinking the steering shaft might have backed out of the gear box. The nut is also worth investigating, as well as the connection at the pitman arm on the bottom of the gear box.

Found the issue, the bolt that holds the steering wheel in is fine but the hole that on the steering wheel itself that it goes Into has to little slots that make it rotate with the bolt and that part got stripped. A new steering wheel will solve it.
