I need an update for my P/S box (used on an F100 1965, V8, 2 WD). The current P/S box is a "1973/74 F100/250 2WD & F350 Ford/Saginaw P/S gear box" and I need a replacement for it.
The challenge seems to be, finding a good replacement part, that can be shipped to Germany. I read, that the once from Red Head Steering Gears (https://redheadsteeringgears.com/pro...steering-gear/) are quite good, but they are not willing to ship to Germany. I'm not sure, what type of aftermarket P/S box is a good one.
Can someone help me with this?
I would be willing to help---have already done this for a few other or our European friends here.
Redhead has a great reputation and I'm currently considering replacing one of my E-Series boxes with that brand. It would probably be less expensive on your part paying their core charge as sending your existing part from Germany to them would probably cost that same amount.
PM me if I can help---there might be others willing to help as well.

Best of luck with this Jaochim!

Looking forward to read from you,
Joachim
I've added you to my Contacts list so we can communicate through FTE if needed. I did receive your email and we'll discuss things there.
I can't believe those jerks won't ship to you. It's no big deal to ship overseas.
Well how about the other way around then? I tried buying tool repair parts from Canada fer chrissakes and the seller would not/could not sell to me in the USA so its not just one seller here in the states who won't ship across borders. For some its just too much hassle to deal with and if they're busy enough restricting sales to the USA only that's their choice and right. Sure it sucks but its just how things go from time-to-time.
BTW this is already in motion and Joachim's steering gear box should arrive at my location next week and it will be on its way to him by the end of the week.
Good to hear. I've sold stuff overseas to Ebay buyers. First time I thought it might get complicated but it's just a little more paperwork for the post office to do, not the person shipping. People just go off the deep end over it having never done it, they just figure it can't be easy and nothing could be farther from the truth.

I'm very greatful for the support of JW. The steering is about to go its way overseas. But it is as you write, often you have to do something to see, that it isn't a big deal.
Joachim has been great to work with on this---as I say always glad to help someone in situations like this.
I also sold a lot of high end and/or vintage music gear through eBay some years ago---before they forced sellers into only accepting payments through PayPal. I've sold to Japan, Australia, Germany, UK and a lot of things to one friend in Denmark---including a 27' Airstream! Its not overly complicated shipping to another country but from what I hear getting some items through customs can be quite a hassle. I've always tried to have my paperwork in order hoping that will make things smoother but one never knows.
This should be on its way later this day 03/12/2019.
FWIW this Redhead steering gear is H-E-A-V-Y. Hard to believe it weighs "only" 46 pounds.
