air filter,try out
last spring I put a open element air filter on my 94 f250 7.5,well I read all the statements about the 2 stock vs. open.the stock one is back for good,way less noise and I think the engine likes it too.had to learn the hard way

That's great to hear!
The 7.5 and 4.9L trucks got the BEST CAI that Ford offered, but needless to say, so many choose to ditch the CAI and install overpriced HOT Air Intakes and swear by them.
I was a sucker to that 18 years ago and glad I went back to the OEM setup.
