With all of the variables involved (lifted truck, air bags, tuner, interference with Bluetooth because of radio or other phone apps, etc.) I would be skeptical of its accuracy. May just be me though, because I’m skeptical about EVERYTHING lol
Looks like it is feasible and possible. Your CAT scales are not springs any more but electronic strain gauges on chips. Would be nice to have one and test it.
I just bought one and got to use it today. It was very helpful for setting up the WDH. I had to start from scratch since this will be the first time towing the camper with this truck. I also did 3 " weigh" tests then went to the CAT scales to see how accurate it was. The haulgauge showed right at or just over 14k lbs with each measurement. The CAT ticket shows 14,680 lbs. As far as the WDH setup function, I verified everything using a tape measure using the calculations provided by Equalizer. Here are a few pics. I was most impressed with the WDH setup function. My first setup was a bit off and I added another washer to the head and it brought everything right in to the green.
This was the lowest of the 3 weighs but the only one I took a screenshot of. Truck and trailer The final WDH setup measurements. Front axle, rear axle and camper axles.
