Brake line question

1977 f250, single piston caliper, 2.5” shoes in rear

replacing everything...everything is off and working through putting things together.

Got it the wrong power booster, the right one is coming. Rear passenger emergency cable was too long so getting the shorter one.

Trying to to figure out the sizes of the line ends for the proportioning valve and the master cylinder. Anyone have a diagram with sizes?

Are they different size ends to make sure people don’t mix them up?

are all the lines the same size? They look the same but wanted to make sure

thanks

normally they're different size. if you're replacing them with pre-bent new ones it's pretty hard to get it wrong.

If you're bending your own , which isn't going to be pretty, just loosely put it back together with the originals then replace then with your new ones.

Im preparing to embark on the same job in a few short weeks. Ive been looking into braided brake lines. But knowing the exact fittings is difficult. The only thing im certain of is that i need to coil the lines at least twice before they go towards the frame to connect to the pro valve and what not. Any tid bits shared by those who have done it, would be much appreciated.

I saw that on my truck...why do you have to coil twice? Is it to provide having to cut in the future and you can uncoil more vs replace the line? Or is it a volume/pressure thing?

I learned from other previous posts on here that it allows the brake line to move with the suspension. apparently the distance the frame travels is more than i realized, especially under heavy acceleration. I seen most give it 3 coils for the insurance. I’d imagine 1 coil would maybe be enough. But that just doesn't look as cool to me.

These look pretty good to me, even if I did fabricate them myself.

....and my motto is: "If the brakes don't stop it, something else will." (drum roll and a symbol crash).
