I have had several Ranch hand products over the last several years and can tell you one thing for sure.....their powder coat is absolute garbage. You can expect that within a year or two, you will have rock chips and rust. This is will be magnified if you live in the salt belt. If you are hard pressed to go with them, have them blasted and Line-x'd (Raptorliner works great for DYI). Not only will they look better but you are assured the finish will last. I have done this same process on after market bumpers and steps for several years due to whats being pushed out these days. I also epoxy prime once to bare metal and have NEVER had a rock chip or rust issue.
I can agree. Build quality is great, powdercoat is junk. My push bumper I had on the old truck CAME with a rust bubble...but it was the last one in existence of a discontinued model. So, here we are. I've had to touch it up numerous times over the years. I agree with blasting and line-x. Shoulda coulda woulda.
Another bad experience here. Took my first bumper back due to rusting. replacement was worse than the first one. I would not recommend Ranch Hand products unless you plan on recoating them.
All powder coat will chip and then rust will start it is just a fact because as it ages it gets more brittle with UV exposure, weather, salt etc. It is still the best coating for the $$$$'s. Have been dealing with it on many vehicles for years from many manufacturers.

Thanks all, looks like I need to explore other options. They make a good looking product but not worth the problems that come with them. Appreciate y’all ‘s input.
Thanks for all the input on RH.
Noticed BigTruckBigRv no longer sponsored by them and now has Road Armor.
When the windows got tinted the shop had RH grill guards on display outside and already had rust where the weld beads end.
The lady mentioned something about how maybe they have gotten so big that somethings are just not the same.
A few posts here mentioned how rear end collisions create lots of damage to the beds. Look towards getting rear bumper first.
Whatever you guys use in the future appreciate your posts.
