I've always had good service from DC, but I haven't ordered anything in a few years. One of the last things I ordered was a new body mount kit. When I called them with some problems I was having with the kit, they shipped me a whole new kit, FREE! Maybe the guy I dealt with isn't working there anymore? Too bad.....
Hopefully, it'll sort itself out.
Thanks guys but what I posted is correct and works. Remember, I was a Ford Parts Man for 41 years. In those years I have sold and shipped out a ton of parts. Every great once in a while, something has gone wrong. Parts puller messed up, our shipper wrote wrong address, etc. The customer gets the wrong part which is not their fault. So we at the Dealership level would fill out and send through a call tag. We get the incorrect part back and ship the correct one out. The mistake was on our end so we ate the freight charges.
I bought alot of resto parts from other places too like Macs and npd and a local place called orange county truck supply alot of it is Dennis carpenter stuff some is good some isn't replica window roll **** fell off after a few months .
Mouldings and chrome stuff seems to be ok although I doubt it's made here original ford stuff lasted 50 years these aftermarket parts break just opening the package .
Yeah, I ordered a chrome radio bezel from C&G Ford Parts, because they showed it in stock, when Dennis Carpenter and another place or two showed it was on backorder. But when it arrived, in the C&G Parts box, it was actually dropped shipped from Dennis Carpenter. It looks great, but....the radio does not fit into the opening. I had also bid on and won the auction for a real one on Ebay. When the new chrome one would not work with my radio, I tried the used (real) one from Ebay. Radio worked fine.
To the naked eye, the opening appears to be the same size. But the radio will not go far enough into the new one for the nuts to screws on the threads of the posts. The one old works fine. Maybe the new chrome one is too thick.
I do have some good news to report concerning my brake shoe issue with Dennis Carpenter. I had planned to call my credit card company and explain what was going on to them and possibly stop payment. But then I realized that I had bought several items on this same order, and the card company would have to only stop partial payment. Then I decided I would call Dennis Carpenter and do what JEFFFAFA suggested. I just haven't found time to do it. Been really busy at work. I had not spoken to anyone at Dennis Carpenter since February 20th, when I made this original post. At that time the guy to whom I spoke (Vince) told me he would see what he could do for me and that the lady I first spoke with would call me back. No one ever called and no one ever e-mailed me about this issue. I am on vacation today, so I was planning to call them today.
However, when my mail arrived yesterday, I had a letter from them. I scanned it and here it is (with my personal info removed):
I am happy to report that Dennis Carpenter has issued a credit to my card for the full purchase price of the brake shoes. The letter actually says I was told to not return the shoes, which is not true. I was never told to not send them back. But, based on this letter, I am not required to do so.
I am pleased that they have issued the credit and happy with the outcome. I do wish their communication with me over this issue had been better, but in the end, all is well.

Thanks for the update. Now you'll have to get a truck to match the shoes
He read your thread with his morning cup said get him refunded pronto !!!!!! Right on Ford truck forum
Not sure what happened, but I appreciate them refunding the money. As I had posted earlier in this thread, I had ordered over $630 worth of parts from this in Feb alone. I'm betting when they reviewed my account, that might have helped them make a decision :-)
