Sorry to bump an old thread. I'm going to be doing something very similar. I'm picking up a 2002 7.3 2wd Excursion, zero rust, California truck. I've got a 2005 6.0 4x4 F350 donor truck. My plan was originally to just do a 4x4 and coil spring swap. Now that I've seen some Expeditions converted to 6.7 front end, I think I'm convinced to do that swap also. I was originally just going to do a 2007 facelift... any tips or tricks from the experts? Looks like all of this has been done a few times before, so hopefully I'll be able to find most of the info I need
