Stock from dealership Seats and new axles installed
I thought I would give back since I have had some help from so many on here.
I started with the cleanest 2004 X I could find to build. I found a 1 owner 6.0 with 126k. It already had an EGR delete and airbags with onboard compressor.

I had the stock 2nd and 3rd row seats removed to make way for donor seats out of a 2011 Expy. I wanted to have a shoulder strap seat belts on every seat not just 6 out of 8 seats. I copied member 5Hub design for the 2nd row. The shop I had doing the work had to fabricate a mount for the 3rd row. The expy seats are much taller than the stock X seats. This is especially true for the 3rd row seat being mounted on a frame. I wanted the 3rd row to still be removable. The seats out of the expy had power fold for the 3rd row and I have yet to figure out if I will ever be able to fold, my guess is no.

i removed front and rear axles from a 2006 F250 with corresponding hardware and brackets needed for the conversion. I did end up buying new coil buckets and radius arm mounts as those were riveted on the donor truck. I wanted the coil set up for a couple reasons: better turning radius, bigger brakes and better handling/ride. I also had a shop put these on. A big thanks to NicMike for helping me through the process.
I also installed a level kit.

i wanted to update the front end to look more modern. I decided to go with a 2016 conversion. I had a local shop do this conversion. While half way into the job we noticed the paint on the roof was chipping off so I decided to re paint the whole thing and remove the cladding. I like the look of paint match bumpers and decided to go that route as well.
4th
new double din pioneer stereo with front and rear cameras.
Still to come:
heated and cooled seats out of a 2016 f250 with new center console. If anyone has done rhis I would love some input.
Light bar to fill in front bumper
tinted windows
bullet proofing with programmer, intake and exhaust.
If you have any questions please let me know. I’ll do my best to respond.
Looking awesome
going to do the rear wheel well in the same body style as the front fenders?
had I known I was going to repaint the whole thing from the get go yes but since it wasn’t planned I didn’t have time to find a donor fender. I am planning to get some matching fender flares to help.
Can you tell us what benefits and or negatives you have in the ride quality and handling of the EX since going to Coilovers? In the process of deciding between leaf lift or Coilovers for my 05.

Ride quality IMO is better it doesn't feel like it wants to wonder like it did with leaf's, it could have been the truck was sitting on old leaf's and needed to have been replaced. Turning radius is much improved since you don't hit leaf's. Also your going from a dana 50 to a dana 60 which is a strong larger axle with big brakes and its noticeable. I kept with the 3.73's that the stock axles had so no change there. Overall I am happy I did this mod, I have not towed with it yet but I don't foresee any issues.
I'm so torn on doing this or not. It sure does look good but it's $$$.
Yeah it wasn't a cheap build do to do. But no one offers an SUV that can tow 12k and that's what I needed. I am selling my 2015 F350 Platinum and sold my wife's Honda Pilot to get down to 1 car instead of 2. She agreed to the idea as long as she wasn't driving a car that looked old, I can safely say this thing doesn't look old (at least on the outside, still working on the inside).
Looks great!! It's definitely in my plans to do the interior and front clip swap like this. Have you seen or heard of the guy on Instagram and you tube who does these swaps? He does all the wiring and everything. He's basically gotten everything from the new trucks to work in his 7.3 F250.
