Exclamation Crank no Start P0232 and U1900 codes

Please help I am in a bind. My truck all of a sudden started acting funny, rough starting, missing etc. Now it just refuses to start at all. I have a scan gauge II and all the ficm, ipr, sync, and voltages were perfect. It was building oil pressure just fine and should have started. The fuel bowl was filling up and everything. I moved the harness coming from the pcm just to inspect and chaffing and now I cannot even get a reading on the scangauge at all. I have a tune on it and cannot even set it back to stock. Does anyone know a good diesel mechanic that is reputable here in the Dallas (specifically Plano) area? I want to tow it to someone who knows what they are doing on these trucks as it seems to be an electrical issue. Thanks.

P0232 - Fuel pump secondary circuit high. Voltage is detected to be present at the fuel pump monitor circuit when it has not been commanded "on" for more than one second. Short to power or sticking relay (which is integral to the CJB).

Thumbs up Fixed

I had tried diagnosing this on my own but the problem was intermittent and seemed to point to something electrical in nature. I had drained the HFCM from the water separator and next thing I knew it ran great......for a day. Then it died and would not restart. It was cold and raining outside so I ended up towing it to Plano Diesel and they diagnosed it as the HFCM fuel module on the drivers frame rail. They replaced it and it started right up and is running great. I no longer have long crank cold morning starts. My fuel mileage has gone way up! If I ever see that P0232 code again I will look at the HFCM first. Maybe this will be helpful to someone else. Thanks

Glad you have it fixed.

Edit - This type of failure really can be any of what I posted (relay, wiring, or pump). The next guy may not have an HFCM issue. It really does take some "legwork" to avoid guessing.
