Nope it is not weatherproof, I have it in my garage and run the cord under the door when I plug it in

Probably doesn’t help the OP, but if I ever do use the block heater (which is very, very rare), I just run the cord from the lamppost near the driveway, which is controlled by a timer switch in the house. (Coincidently, it’s the same way I control my yard based Christmas lights.)
