Under Hood Dimensions

Looks like my truck may have had some minor front end damage. The hood is real tight between the cowl and grill frame. On each side, the hood sit back < 1" from the front of the side body panel. The hood spring hits its little cup, but barely, it too is hitting forward. Can anyone measure the distance between cowl and the hole in the little cup that the hood spring sits in? Thanks in advance, I know the front needs to come out a little, I just do not know how much.

Oh, its good to be back on the site after too long a spell with a troubled login.

Thanks. Measured mine tonight. 38". I took another look at it. I may have a front fender which may be too far forward. The hood may be bent a little aslo.
