Has anybody experienced the camera images washing-out (if so equipped)?
These are 7 inch floods from Amazon, had them about a year right behind the wheel with no flaps, and they have held up well. Yes, they wash out the camera considerably. They are wonderful for backing into a dark driveway or loading and unloading the boat at night.
Joe T- based on reading the thread(s) about mounting the strip of three red marker lights, I believe that IF you mount something TOO THICK, there will be tailgate interference. This was mentioned in the conversation about mounting the OEM Ford three-light strip vs an aftermarket three-light strip (of different dimensions).
Good luck with your project.
Thanks. I was thinking that was the downside, having to put something small there.
jimzpsd, Here are the pics you requested, for the lights to "clear" the hitch tube I installed 8 fender washers (from Trac.supply) between the light bracket and the hole in the side of the hitch, ran individual grounds to each light and starting with the pass. side ran & spliced the drivers side "hot" then ran up front in a wire loom to my #1 upfitter switch (sorry for the photo quality) flatlander 2441
