Well guys,
I sure hate to but I think I'm going to be parting with my '74 Highboy. Grandpa bought it new and I've resurrected it but I think it's too far gone and I don't really need it around anymore. It's a (verified) 390 with a C6. If anyone wants or needs anything off of it let me know. Just had the heads rebuilt and has a new brand new Holley 4 barrel sitting on it but I can't get it running right (seems like a fuel pump issue) and I don't have the time to mess with it. Ran and drove fine before that - body is rough though
I felt the same way when I had to let my '69 F250 depart. I liked it, but it just kept developing more and more issues that I didn't have time to deal with. In the end I had to let it go. Like losing a member of the family!
Yeah, not sure how it's all going to go for me. I've had quite a few pickups that I've regretted not fixing that WEREN'T bought new by family......I don't really need the '69 either anymore but I've got way too much money in it and my wife won't let me get rid of it. I drove it a lot when we were dating. I mentioned getting rid of it once and I think that she'll get rid of me if I do!
