150k miles shocks only?

Gentlemen:
The 2011 F150 XLT 4x4 stock suspension daily driver has demonstrated some rough handling lately. I plan to keep this truck. My question is would shock replacement only be recommended or should I also do the coils?

Thanks

Definitely replace the shocks- that's one area OEMs really seem to cheap out. I've seen pickup shocks worn out before 40k. Unless the truck is sagging excessively ( a little settling is normal ) or sitting unevenly, the springs should be OK. You might take the truck to a reputable alignment/suspension shop ( I tend to stay away from chain stores- find the small, knowledgeable guy in your area ) and have them inspect ball joints, bushings, etc. That way you might catch something that's on it's way out and fix it before it causes other problems. They can give your truck's suspension a clean bill of health until 200k or so.
