Electrical???
Thursday afternoon, got on I-40 West-bound, 96 F-350 4X4 460/C6 was running great, getting up to road speed, I know fuel pumps are good, both tanks full, and it started sputtering hammered down sputtered and cut off, got it over to the right shoulder so roll-back could get to it., Wouldn't crank, motor was turning also, thought it would fire up tried both tanks, and no go. Called AAA put it on roll back. Any thoughts? Could it be ignition module? Thanks guys!

What was turning the engine if it "Wouldn't crank"???
Cranking is the turning of the engine with the starter.
Are you saying it will crank but not start?
If so then on a 1996 the Black ICM is more than likely OK. They very seldom go bad.
Maybe you lost the PIP. Check it with an LED test light on the top wire of the ICM as it is cranked.

I understand a little bit of Southern, allow me to translate.
If a good ole boy sez "Hey Y'all, it got so damn cold last night my truck won't crank!" that does mean it won't start, though the engine will turn over (crank). Hope this helps. I make awesome sausage gravy and scratch biscuits too, so trust me, I know what I'm talkin' about.
