I'd say you have identified your problem for sure.

Still baffled by the stuck injector.

I would be worried that now that O-rings and copper seal have been disturbed you will have leaks. Could end up with mixed fluids and low HPOP pressure.

I knew about the connector problem straight up but figured may as well check every thing while we were so far in. The # 8 is a worry and I want it checked before refit, then I will check the other bank. Thanks for all your help, really appreciate it.

1 thru 7 should be the same, although the solenoid colors can be different if they are not original. #8 is the "long lead" injector intended to quiet the cackle. You can swap in a regular one with no issues.

Glad the burnt pin showed it's ugly head!

Finally got the # 8 out, lifted the rocker and it slipped straight up. Have carefully replaced all the O rings and cleaned the injectors up. Removed the glow plugs and the ends are a bit brown due to heat, should I give then a gentle wire brush treatment before they go back in? Also I would like to retest the plugs and injectors as they go back in, what's a simple way to test without special tools, use a test light for the plugs but not sure about injectors. Got the new gasket and harness readt to go as well. Aussie Bob

Looking good. What is the ohm reading on each glow plug? Should be at about 1/2 ohm since your checking them without the harness attached.

Unless your glow plugs are fairly new I would just replace them since you're this far in already. A buzz test for the injectors will do.

I got the airbags when I had a center console boat that set a little heavy on the front of the trailor. Leveled the truck up when towing. I learned early on though not to leave them aired up when not towing. Back end of the truck bounces badly.
