Trucks in Australia don't need the roll bar its just for show but we do need bull bars. Last time I did a job out of Broken Hill I hit 4 kangaroos, we have millions of them in the country although Australia is going through a drought and I have seen thousands die of starvation. At Yandaroo Station they are dead every where.
Well I have gotten the harness out then the three injectors but the back one # 8 will only move up 1/4", this is the brown one on the passenger side firewall( US drivers side ) the bottom bolt is completely out and the retaining plate pushed all the way up and clear of the top bolt ,its so tight, I have tried to use a pry bar but no luck. Don't want to damage anything.

Any suggestions? Thanks Guys.
I missed something. Why were you pulling injectors? replacing, inspecting the tips?
If you have a 5/8 (I think, will go look for video) stubby wrench it works as a removal tool.
Edit: Prybar on edge of head to remove (think I put a rag down under prybar to protect gasket mating surface). 5/8 wrench to install.
See video at 5:43 for removal and 11:40 for install tips
We had a serious miss in the engine, and did a blow by test and it was ok, the harness looks OK but the internal plug is a bit mis shapen not much but a bit. While the cover is off we decided to check the injector tips and the glow plugs, too much work to do it at any other time. I noted that the front three injectors has a yellow top and the back one brown don't know if that means anything. Will finish this side and the go to next, half thinking of a rebuilt kit on all injectors as well, its done 270,000 kilometres
If I understand it correctly the nbr 8 is what's known as a long lead. It was Fords fix for cackle and noise at the nbr 8 due to the dead head fuel rail trapping air and forcing it thru the nbr 8 injector. It's normal to have a different one installed there. The Riff Raff FRX will do a better job of quieting the fuel system.

If the pin in the plug arc'd it could heat up the plug, sometimes to the point of melting. Look very carefully at the pins. Any sign of arcing damage and get rid of it. Check both sides of the connection. The following to threads have pics of barely burned pins and then the other extreme, melted connector https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...enter-pin.html
2nd pin both side melted or arced
Still cant get injector 8 out and may leave it for now, all other injectors look real good nice and clean, but here is why I am replacing harness & gasket.
When the missing started I was leaving Mt Freeling Station, had driven 24 kilometres on very rough road and this may have been enough to finally ruin the pin connection.
