Good afternoon all. Ran into a little issue and am kind of stumped on where to look. It involves the low beam headlight only. I have a 2008 expedition. Issue is:
Passenger side low beam is not working, high beam works fine - When I turn the headlight switch off then on the pass. low beam flashes on then off. Then I turn the fog lights on or off, the pass. low beam flashes on then off
High beam works great either way. I have switched the bulbs to the opposite side, no change. changed out to new bulbs, nothing. Fuses are good. I even changed out the headlight socket to a new one and still same issue. I’ve checked for anything loose by moving the harness around and nothing happens. Anyone have any insight on where to look now.

It's probably a bad FET which is built into the SJB. Most likely you'll end up replacing the SJB to fix this issue. See the diagram in the attached PDF.

during my lunch break today, I did a quick check on a few things. I took my test light and the fuse in the sjb is getting power like it should. I took the light out and put the test light on the low beam. It light up and stays on. It turns off like it should when the high beams are activated.
A new twist is this. So I put the light back together and the low beam worked, except it’s the high beam part of the bulb. When I put the highs on, the bulb gets really dim.
