Can anyone recommend decent windshield wipers? This truck has the rain x ones on it, either they don’t last or they just suck.
since the oceans seem to be emptying into Tennessee this year, I’m struggling when it’s raining with my current ones.
anyone recommend some decent replacements?
I have found that good wipers do make a difference, but not as much as what i park the truck under. I wash the truck about once a week and 1 time a year I have it professionally detailed so it can get waxed. I notice that after I had the windshield waxed the wipers worked awesome, after about 3 moths even with new wipers they just work OK. I moved my truck in the driveway out from under a tree and after I changed the parking spot and had it waxed again the wipers still work awesome 9 months after. Its like fallout or pollen or sap from the tree effects how the rain comes off the window.
Tried the Bosch against the Motorcraft. The Motorcraft lasted longer and were a few dollars cheaper to boot.
Found the opposite to be true for me. My truck is outside 100% of the time in the pacific northwest. Not a lot of sun may be the difference or that I never park under trees unless camping?
X2 on the OEM Ford ones being excellent. One thing I wish I learned earlier is that wiper blades just need to be cleaned off with a windshield fluid wetted paper towel regularly. It removes the black rubber dust, and they work like new again. I do this most times I fill up and have perfectly working wipers for a year on a single set of blades.
