Yesterday I had to remove the Dash bezel on my 77 F150 and the duct hose going to the drivers side vent came apart. It's very hard and brittle.
Trying to decide if I need to fix this hose or not? The truck has the dealer installed AC so its not factory installed.
Looks like the duct is coming from the dealer installed AC unit but not 100% sure about that.
My question is does heat go through this Vent? If not then I'll just move on to the next thing on my list. I don't care about AC and it doesn't work any way.

Economy dealer installed A/C is not combined with the heater. The two A/C switches are located in a panel that also contains two registers.
This panel fits into the dash to the left of the glove box. See pic below.
Deluxe dealer installed A/C is combined with the heater, but it's a completely different system sharing next to no parts.
I'll post a pic of it, if your trucks A/C doesn't match the pic I posted.
