difference between EBP sensors

tomorrow i am going to take out the EBP sensor and check/clean the tube
So just in case i find out the sensor is completely clogged bad like I've seen so many online have happen,i was looking at the prices and such online for a new one

for the 95-96 it shows motorcraft number as DPFE-1
for 97-03 7.3 AND 03-04 6.0's the number is DPFE-3

my main question is..is the newer years an upgraded one or will it not work at all my 95 PSD?

The newer ones are about 30-40.00 cheaper

I already know where to get the parts, just asking the difference between the 2 part numbers on the sensors themselves..not the tube
