Display for backup camera
I need a backup camera. For display, I need advice between a standalone display and a double din radio. A standalone display gets turned on when gear is in reverse. What about double din? Do I have to turn on the unit? or does it get turned on and camera input is selected automatically? Thank you.

I just installed a backup camera on my 2002 F150, connected to a BOSS BV960NV head unit. It has a trigger wire in the power cable harness that turns on the display when you shift into reverse. You connect that wire to the power wire from the camera to complete the circuit. Oh - you've got to enable the reverse camera function in the setup of the head unit, too.
