Hello everyone. I'm new here, and new to F1's. I hope I am posting on the right thread. I have searched on here, but not found the information I am looking for.
I recently bought a 1950 Ford F1. Older restoration, but in good condition overall.
289, Automatic, Air. Very nice truck. It had been sitting under a carport for a while but it does run. It has a few bugs, but nothing major.
I need to replace the heater core, but cant seem to identify it. Can any of you help? Im pretty sure its not a Magic Air.
Heater
Heres my heater core. Is this avalible for sale anywhere? I have searched to no avail.
Looks just like my core. The case work looks slightly different than mine. I believe my heater was a Firestone brand heater. I just am finishing restoring my heater box and core. I re-soldered my seams on the core and leak tested the core. Make sure your blower motor and wires are good while its apart. Mine had a rusted motor brush spring. I rebuilt the motor (wires, springs brushes).
