Well, two days off so far for Snowmageddon up here. A foot of heavy-wet snow in Anderson, and 100k without power. As of last night there were 17k without power in Redding and 42k+ PG&E customers without power.
Glad that we have a generator for the Travel Trailer and cold weather gear from Scouting activities.
Cell coverage has been REAL hit or miss. With mostly miss, so I'll check in occasionally when I can.
Made a petrol sacrifice to the utility demons and received blessed light. Had the generator running all afternoon to try and keep the house above freezing, so PG&E got our neighborhood back up about 7:00 PM. I don't blame them for pulling the plug when every block had trees across the lines, snow dropped lines or transformers shorting out. The hard part was it went out about 2:30 am on Wednesday.

Will, I love that "old school" GPS. Is that a Garmin?
I used to leave a Garmin mounted on the dash. Friends shamed me into taking it down. First of all, it's just an invitation for a thief to smash your window when you're in The Big City. Second, where the heck am I going? I go to the same places every day. If I get lost going home from work, I deserve to miss dinner. They're right, of course, about using phone apps like Google Map & Waze. Now, I only have a GPS if I'm driving a truck. A trucking GPS so that you don't drive a truck onto a Highway or street which prohibits trucks.
I'm guessing that most people in your area aren't used to snow like that.
That’s going to be a fantastic truck , take good care of the fuel system , it’s really important and can get costly , make sure to get fuel at a high recovery station not one that the fuel don’t move out, meaning not diesel truck any size friendly off the beaten path station .
lots of weather happing , funnel clouds , Rain, Snow, and that nasty Wind can stop anytime , looks like another really bizzy week ahead of me ( good thing ) but I’m tired ,
I’m not sure , my Garmin GPS has been good , the only prob is I haven’t updated in several years and it don’t reconise New streets or Developments , almost as bad as Sires at times , when you know how to get there but sires takes you all around the city ,under the bridge , around the tree through the pond , turn right , turn left , turn left , turn left again , Recalculating ,
