RV inspection

So I’ve done the Maryland vehicle inspection. That was a fun experience that was a waste of time, 3 easily passed well maintained vehicles. The question I have is how do I get my 5th wheel inspected? Where? What the heck is involved? How long does this take?

I would assume ANY RV dealer with a maintenance department can help you. Or even a gas station with a MD Inspection permit to do RV's. Let your fingers do the walking. Mine was done by the place I bought the RV. Google RV repairs in MD then take your pick.

Hi Bud. Yeah RV dealers can do the inspection but they want me to leave the unit for a week or so. I was told by my local mechanic that larger trailers cannot be inspected by every shop and that I would have to find a commercial trailer inspection place. MVA was not helpful in point me in a direction. So I guess I will start calling places.

If they want you to leave it, just tell them to give you can appointment and you will bring it in the day o more before to leave it. I do that at Jim Donnies on Dorsey Road in (near) Glen Burnie.
