Running the fuel pump

Is there a way for me to run the fuel pump on my 2005 excursion w/ 2004 engine without the engine running? I know it will prime briefly with the key but I want it to run continuously for a while without killing the battery with glow plugs, etc.

I'm sure it can be jumpered at a relay, but I'm not sure where that is. Often times there's a "diagnostic" way to just command the fuel pump to run like the mustang example in this image.

Put 12volt into the the orange wire on the right hand passenger side. It's inside the vehicle, passenger foot, there is a plug with 2 wires. Remove it and put the 12 volt on the orange wire.

Thanks. That's what I ended up doing, putting power to the plug for the intertia switch. The wire was pink/black but maybe that changes by year.

The C+VCM or VCM2 with IDS will let you do that and I think some of the other higher end diagnostics tools will also.
