Well I can't find my sales slip right now, but I'll keep looking. I do know that the Anchor 2442 and 2441's or the B2635 and B2636 from O'reilly's did not fit mine.
I got the tip about the van mounts from a thread on here somewhere.

1965/74 van mounts are the same, but 1975 and later are different.

Has anyone had experience with engine mounts from LMC for a 1977, F100 2WD 300ci in regards to proper fit? Mounts ordered from NAPPA and Carquest for a 1977 F100 were incorrect - much larger. Another blog indicated to use a 1974 Econoline 100 - I don’t think that’s the correct fit either. Help
Welcome to FTE 601. Interesting to hear of another mount issue. Sounds like it has been/still is a problem.
Do you happen to have any pics of the offending (new) mounts that don't work?
I even had trouble with my 400 engine's mounts in my '79 4wd. But after two sets, both of which were the same and looked the same as the originals, I figured my frame had "sprung" inward just a fraction of an inch, keeping my mount studs from sliding all the way down into the "V" and notched holes.
In your case though, do they look nothing like what was on the truck originally? If so, what month was your truck built in? I did not see mention of any changes between '76 and '77, or between '77 and '78, but I wonder if there was some running change at that point and your truck needs the previous year's, or later year's mounts/

Good luck. Hope someone has your answer.

Spoiler
Paul, thanks for the insight. I didn’t look up the build info - doing that now.
I did however obtain mounts (specific to 77 F100 300) from NAPA, Carquest and LMC - yes, a motor mount study!
The part numbers from Napa and Carquest were the same, but the mounts appear to be for an 80s application - they’re HUGE, and obviously incorrect.
Based on other posts, I ordered a set for 1974 E100 300 from Napa.
The Napa and LMC were the same parts, even though LMC indicated it was for the 77 F100
In the end I’ll end up using the E100 mounts with a 1/4” - 1/2” shim to bring the block up to the correct height as delineated by how straight the the clutch return bar appears
This was a long way around to the point that just because a vendor indicates the part is correct, it may not be.
Thanks for your help
Jefd The Ford E100 mounts (to the 300) had the same block mount holes as the F100 (300). Not all manufactures appear to have the same thickness however. Need to compare. Ordered motor mounts for a 1977 F100 300 from multiple vendors. What their parts list shows is not the correct application. In the end I ordered motor mounts for a 1974 E100 300. They’re the correct block attachment, but are not as thick as the original mount. Can be rectified with a solid metal shim as necessary - especially for a manual transmission (the clutch return bar block-to-frame alignment).
Great writeup! Wow, you really had to go through it to get what you needed, didn't you. What a pain.
Big difference in some of those. I wonder what they actually do fit?
Glad you got it fixed, nice table cloth by the way lol! About 6 years ago I swapped out a tired 300 6 for a 302 and I caught absolute hell sourcing the correct motor mount brackets!!
