I've noticed rhat different makes of cars have different starter sounds. For example, all Ford Triton+6.2 engine vehicles have a unique sound, as do ALL Honda's, certain newer RWD V8 (non Jeep) Chrysler products as well as all 80s/90s rwd Chrysler products (including Jeep) regardless of engi(yes even the old 4.0 i6), gm full size trucks from the past 30 years
They are all distinguishable from hearing the starter alone

Anyone else notice this?
You can hear a modular engine cranking, very unique. Its because the engine cycles through a verification feedback cycle and the pcm cycles the spark plugs but not fuel. It all happens in about 2 seconds and then the pcm sends fuel command.
