New Hubs Recommendations

Need new front locking hubs. Any recommendations? Just go with OEM? They are auto locking, some like manual I guess. Any reason to switch to manual only?

I have Warns. Got sick of fooling with vacuum problems so just plugged the pump outlets and went with manual hubs.

I like ESOF and the 05+ ESOF hubs are much more reliable then the 99-04 hubs. If it were me I would get Ford ESOF replacement hubs but I would want to retain the full ESOF system.

Yeah my 2003 hubs and ESOF system are trash. I’m sure I could have build dedicated vacuuum pumps with their own circuits and upgraded lines but manyal hubs were just simpler.

What year are we working with? Must be 99-04 since they are junk. These are the last ones I installed for a customer and he loves them. No auto but He doesn't care about locking them manually. They are a simple install and super smooth.

Disregard the above then. I've never seen problems with the 05+ hubs so if you have one bad or busted I'd probably just replace it oem.

Anyone have experience with Mile Marker Hubs compared to Warn Hubs concerning longevity or reliability?

Any experience with the difference between the standard and premium?

Just my experience, but I’ve had the standard Warns break several times. Of course that was with 39’s and a big block.

I always went with the Premium. They are robust and limited amount of plastic.

As far as MileMarkers, the only experience I've had were using Supremes on Jeeps and they were very comparable to the Warn Premiums.

Replaced my drivers hub at 200k miles with OEM. I think they do quite well - I am hard on my truck when I hunt.

Are the hubs on the later models, 2005 and above different? Can we use them on the earlier models?

I have the Mile Markers on mine and in my observations they are better than the standard Warn hubs and almost as good as the Warn premiums, but they cost less than both. Mine have worked fine for over 2 years now, I broke 2 sets of cheaper hubs before switching to the Mile Markers.

2005 was the change over. Alot of stuff is bigger and better including the locking hubs. No you cannot use them on the 99-04 trucks.
