Ignition question on a 73.
So I get in the truck this morning and it doesn't turn over or make a clicking sound trying to turn over. The lights, heat and come on but when I turn the key to start the parking brake light come on. It is engaged but I don't think it always lights up as I turn it on. Starter, Battery and alternator are new. I just drove it yesterday.

Start at the beginning and when you get to the end........................stop

That is NOT, I say again NOT a light to let you know the parking brake is set. There is NO light to tell you the parking brake is set. That is a brake system warning light, it comes in when the proportional valve AKA combination valve senses a LEAK in the system. Like you blow a brake line and the "pressure differential valve" AKA floating piston has moved to the low (leaking) side.
It should come on during start up as a self test, but then should quickly go out. Battery cables new? That can look good, but have internal corrosion. Did you multi-meter the battery?
