Is there any way to know that an update of a specific date updated the maps or what?

 

 

That explains it, I saw the truck in your signature and I was thinking you are going to be disappointed when you try to find a place to plug that SD card into.


I just checked the ford owners site and tried to go through the process of purchasing a map update for a 17 F350 and it states "This Product Is Currently Unavailable", are they not charging for map updates with sync 3?

 

I really like the My Touch system, though I do wish the screen had the same sensitivity and resolution as the Sync 3 display. I think life would be a tad easier if my truck had the same audio/video and SD card interface as my car does.

When I checked last April, the website said I had the most up to date version available. Now it says "This Product is Currently Unavailable".
I suspect they are in the process of updating all their navigation maps and none are available for any platform until the new version is released.

Just got off the phone with a "Here" representative. These are the folks that provide the navigation map updates for pretty much all the different manufacturers globally.
Anyway, I was told that the A10 update for Ford and Lincoln MyTouch systems should be available the first week of February.
Sync 3, on the other hand is not so easy. It too will be available the first week of February, but only through dealerships. The dealers use something called Electronic Field Communication (EFC) to install the update. The newest version is/will be EFC 06376.

I don't believe I have a place for the SD card on my 2011, any place to get the DVD's cheap?

 

I was under the impression the DVD updates for 2011-2012 were VIN locked. Someone in the 1999-2016 Diesel Truck Forum said they got one off eBay.

Nor I these days, but at one time had thought about getting one of the Mexico SD's

 

My truck came with a B7 card and I have plans to ever take my truck into Mexico.

 

Late to the game but wanted to add my $0.02, I also bought an A9 for $30.00 with free shipping off of FleaBay. My 2013 had an A4 card in it, same as WRVOND, no sticker, no blister back, stuck it in the slot and it worked like a champ. Can't believe Ford sells them for over $100.00.

 

I just bought the A9 from ebay and it is in the truck and working just fine.

 

Ford has release the FORD A10 U.S./CANADA sd card - GM5T-19H449-AD. They are selling them on eBay already. I have one on order that I paid $45 for it.
