My PCV Valve makes an awful buzzing sound. I recently noticed some blue smoke in my exhaust. I typically burn about a quart every 1000 miles. Could these two be correlated? Also, 4x4 doesn’t work when hubs are in auto, but my blendoor works fine. Are the two vacuum systems interconnected?
Pardon the ignorance :/

Reason: blendoor, not blender (though that would be nice)
I can’t help with the 4x4. But my ex v10 was burning same amount of oil like yours. Changed out pcv valve and hose. Consumption is basically zero now. Your valve is probably gummed up. I bought a motorcraft for under 10 dollars.
I agree that your PCV valve is most likely gunked up, verify which valve you have and order a replacement. That 6.8 shouldn't be drink that much oil and continueing that consumption over too much time can clog the cat which will cause even more issues.
Yes, all of your vacuum components are on the same system. It could be that your front auto hubs are either in need of cleaning/servicing or replacement, they sometimes do get gummed up and sticky even if they are seeing the proper vacuum signal when switched to 4X4. The 4X4 functions properly if the hubs are turned to manual, correct?
