if there is a thread about how to make modern wiper blades fit on the ‘66 F100 or modern assembly that keeps the original look or even a place to buy the original style blade please direct me there.
If not, how do I go about putting on new style blades or where can I buy the original style (that won’t cost me an arm and a leg.
Much apprecitated. I hate the few times it rains in the desert when I’m in my truck because I can’t see anything and have to kinda guess where the road is. Esp if there’s oncoming traffic at night.... (and when it rains it doesn’t stop for a very very long time)
Okay. Yeah tried autozone but mine look like they were crimped on. And where you would have the older type with the screw holding them on I have a rivet. And it looks like you replace just the rubber blade
dont know if that video will open. It won’t when I checked it...
You are trying to remove it at the wrong place. The entire blade and the pivot come off the arm as an assembly. Trico makes a replacement that is close to the original. Look at this NAPA blade, (WIP 61333)
Nowadays, everyone seems accustomed to constantly replacing the whole wiper blade assembly. Around here, all the parts houses hide the blade refills (just the rubber part) in the back. They trick you into buying the whole wiper assembly at more than triple the cost. You can usually ask someone there to fit a blade refill to your truck. I use Trico 44-150. Usually stock up at rockauto for less than $3 per pair https://www.rockauto.com/en/parts/tr...refill,1000207
I was able to buy inserts for the original blade. IIRC they were extremely long and worked out so that I had enough for 2 sets of wipers. Nothing like the original Stainless blades to blind you when the sun is just right.
I've been able to get just the refills at NAPA, thanks for the part# 1965, I will see if they have it, once I get the wiper switch replaced,,, once I find a replacement, I need new blades.

Trico part # 33-150
You can purchase these from O’reilly auto parts and they are a direct fit. Work great on my 66 f250
