I keep getting this annoying Sync Wi-Fi message lately when I start my truck. Anyone else get this or know what the problem is? It happens wherever and whenever like 80% of the time. Prefer not to disable Wi-Fi altogether. Sync3 v3.0 no other issues. Thanks in advance
I saw that but don't get why it was fine for months and just popped up a couple weeks ago. Guess I'll try it tho thanks
Because it is part of Sync3 and it has many flaws some and take longer to show up than others. You will also notice slower response times and dropped phone connection to the truck, loss of GPS so the Nav stops working correctly. Give it time you will see this and much more. Mine started the way yours did.

What's funny about that message is if you click the "view networks" button, the unit doesn't look for updates anyway. It simply shows you the available networks.
Mine is doing this more often lately. When I tapped the view networks button in my garage the other day, it just showed a couple of the routers on my home network and that was it. Never asked to check for updates. But maybe it already knew there was none available.

Usually if you connect it to your home network, eventually this message will stop popping up.
After the last SYNC 3 update several months ago, I received the same message a few times but after connecting to my home network and having automatic updates turned on, this pop up message stopped coming on my screen and I haven’t seen it since.
have an appointment to get the module replaced on the 28th. The modules are on constant back order so who knows when it will actually be fixed. Have read where it takes up to two months to get a replacement. We shall see.

LOL......Over three months and counting for my new APIM. I’m so used to doing almost ten soft reboots everyday that it’s become second nature to me.
On a more positive note, when I just use my iPhone 📲 and CarPlay, everything works flawlessly including when I tap the screen to go back to SYNC. For some reason that I can’t explain, SYNC and all of it’s stock features work perfectly after switching to it from the CarPlay screen.
