apk files
Hi,
I want to make a couple of apk files from some android apps so that I can put them on my Kindle. I did this once before using some standard backup procedure -- that I've long since forgotten.
Now everything on the interwebs wants me to download some app to do this. I will if I have no choice, but I'd like to do it just using the system options.
Thanks,
hj

Thanks DJ - it has a lot of info, but on a quick scan I didn't see how to generate the .apk
Turns out it's pretty easy. I ran across some good info right after I posted. Until then, all of the responses talked about downloading this or that app. Turns out that most file explorer type apps have the feature built in. (This wsa discussed on the last site I found). I found it on "File Manager " There may be multiple apps with that name, but the one that I had worked for me.
It was really a trivial issue. I like to use torque and the version that I had on my Kindle wouldn't let me delete any gauges. I had a newer version on my Nexus 7 tablet and I was able to get it done.

ps Maybe you should do search seminars.
